Weather Safety Policy
The safety of every player, volunteer, spectator, and staff member is our highest priority. We will never knowingly place our participants in an unsafe environment.
Trump National Doral Resort utilizes the Lightning Prediction and Warning System, which continuously monitors atmospheric conditions and lightning activity within a 8-mile radius of the golf course throughout the tournament. Tournament officials actively monitor the system and follow its alerts when making all weather-related decisions regarding the suspension and resumption of play.

Suspension of Play
When the system issues a warning indicating hazardous weather conditions, play is suspended immediately.

- All players, volunteers, spectators, and staff must seek appropriate shelter.
- Tournament officials coordinate the suspension of all golf activities until conditions improve.
Resumption of Play
Play will not resume until the system indicates that weather conditions are safe for participants to return to the golf course. Tournament officials will communicate when play is authorized to resume.
Player safety will always take precedence over completing play.
We appreciate the concerns of parents, spectators, and volunteers and understand
that severe weather can be unsettling. Please be assured that every weather-related
decision is made with the safety and well-being of our participants as the highest priority.
