Education:

I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in AI Leadership at the Jack Welch Management Institute. My studies focus on integrating advanced business strategy with emerging technologies, equipping me to lead organizations through innovation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. My academic work emphasizes leadership, marketing strategy, organizational behavior, and the practical application of artificial intelligence in business environments. I regularly apply coursework concepts to real-world initiatives, particularly in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and operational management. In addition to formal education, I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which reflects my commitment to structured problem-solving, process optimization, and effective cross-functional leadership.

Professional Background:

I am an experienced operations and community leader with a strong background in IT governance, project management, and organizational leadership. With over a decade of experience leading cross-functional initiatives, I specialize in process improvement, strategic planning, and aligning operations with mission-driven outcomes.

I currently serve as Operations Manager for the Sumter Opera House, where I oversee operational systems, support programming execution, and help advance the organization’s mission to enrich the cultural life of the community through diverse artistic experiences.

In addition to my professional role, I am a dedicated civic leader and longtime Optimist, where I have served in multiple leadership positions, including District Governor for South Carolina. I have led large-scale community events, fundraising initiatives, and youth-focused programs, with a particular emphasis on literacy and childhood cancer support.

My career is defined by a commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and creating meaningful impact through both organizational leadership and community engagement.

Community/Civic Involvement:

I have actively supported United Way through volunteer service focused on strengthening community impact and improving quality of life for individuals and families. My involvement has included participating in community initiatives, supporting fundraising efforts, and collaborating with local partners to advance programs that address critical needs such as education, financial stability, and health.

Through this work, I have contributed to United Way’s mission by helping connect resources to those in need, while also fostering partnerships that create lasting, positive change within the community.

What qualifications and experiences prepare you for this role?

I bring a unique combination of proven Optimist leadership, professional operational expertise, and a deep commitment to youth-focused community impact that prepares me well for the role of Regional Vice President.

Within Optimist International, I have served in multiple leadership roles, including two terms as South Carolina District Governor. In these roles, I have led strategic initiatives focused on strengthening club health, improving member retention, and increasing visibility across the district. I have worked closely with club leaders to build sustainable practices, implement training programs, and foster collaboration—resulting in stronger, more engaged clubs.

As Charter President of the Palmetto Optimist Club, I helped build a thriving, service-oriented club with strong signature programs and community recognition. I have extensive experience organizing and scaling impactful events, developing partnerships, and creating systems that support long-term success. I also regularly train and mentor leaders, helping them grow their clubs through practical, data-informed strategies.

Professionally, I bring over a decade of experience in operations, IT governance, and project management, supported by my PMP certification and ongoing MBA studies in AI Leadership. This background enables me to approach challenges with a strategic, data-driven mindset while effectively managing complex initiatives and leading cross-functional teams.

Additionally, I am a strong communicator and collaborator, with experience presenting to diverse audiences, facilitating training sessions, and engaging stakeholders at all levels. I am passionate about the Optimist mission and committed to expanding our reach, strengthening our clubs, and ensuring that we continue to bring out the best in youth, our communities, and ourselves.

What are your top priorities?

My top three priorities center on building strong, sustainable clubs that are deeply connected to their communities. First, I will focus on empowering clubs to grow alongside their communities by developing and strengthening signature programs, consistent, visible projects that meet real local needs and give members a clear sense of purpose and identity.

Second, I will prioritize enhancing club visibility by encouraging consistent communication, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. When clubs are visible, they attract new members, deepen community trust, and expand their impact.

Finally, I will emphasize strong club governance by supporting leadership development, promoting accountability, and ensuring clubs have the structure and tools needed for long-term success. Together, these priorities create a foundation for growth, relevance, and lasting impact across the region.

How will you support and strengthen local Clubs, Districts and the Optimist International Organization?

I will support and strengthen local clubs, districts, and Optimist International by focusing on alignment, empowerment, and sustainable growth at every level of the organization.

At the club level, I will provide practical tools, training, and mentorship to help leaders build strong governance practices, develop impactful signature programs, and improve member recruitment and retention. I will encourage clubs to adopt simple, repeatable systems that make it easier to deliver meaningful projects and create a welcoming, engaging member experience.

At the district level, I will work closely with district leaders to share best practices, analyze trends, and implement strategies that strengthen overall club health. This includes supporting leadership development pipelines, encouraging collaboration between clubs, and using data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

At the international level, I will serve as a connector, bringing forward insights, successes, and challenges from the field to help inform broader strategies. I will actively promote alignment with Optimist International’s mission and initiatives while supporting the adoption of programs and resources that drive consistency and impact across all regions.

Across all levels, I will focus on clear communication, shared learning, and fostering a culture of support, ensuring that every club and leader feels equipped, connected, and inspired to succeed.

Why should members vote for you?

I bring a proven track record of leadership, a clear strategy for strengthening clubs, and a deep commitment to the Optimist mission.

I have successfully led at every level, from building a thriving club as Charter President to serving two terms as District Governor, where I focused on real, measurable improvements in club health, engagement, and visibility. I understand what works because I have done the work alongside our members.

I offer more than ideas, I bring practical, actionable solutions. My focus on signature programs, visibility, and strong governance provides clubs with simple, proven frameworks they can implement immediately to grow and succeed.

I am also a collaborative leader who listens, communicates clearly, and builds relationships across clubs and districts. I will serve as a strong advocate for our members, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are supported.

Most importantly, I am deeply passionate about our mission. I am committed to helping every club thrive so that, together, we can expand our impact and continue bringing out the best in youth, our communities, and ourselves.

Final Statement to Members:

It is truly an honor to be considered for the role of Regional Vice President. This organization has shaped my leadership, strengthened my purpose, and connected me with some of the most dedicated people I know, each of you.

I believe in the power of Optimism to transform communities. I have seen what happens when a club finds its purpose through a strong signature program, when visibility brings new energy and new members, and when strong leadership creates stability and growth. These are not just ideas, they are proven pathways to stronger clubs and greater impact.

As Regional Vice President, I will lead with intention, collaboration, and a focus on results. I will work to ensure that every club feels supported, every leader feels equipped, and every member feels inspired and valued.

Together, we have the opportunity to strengthen our organization, grow our reach, and continue making a difference in the lives of youth and families across our communities.

I am honored to serve.
