Practice Round Information
NOTE:
Practice rounds are NOT included in the registration fee and are optional to the players.
TO MAKE A RESERVATION:
Parents and other guests may serve as caddies during practice rounds only. Practice Rounds are optional and are NOT included in your registration. Tee times can be made after June 16, 2024. Golf Carts (one cart per family) may be rented in the pro shop during practice rounds only - first come-first served. Parents and other guests may serve as caddies during practice rounds only. Call Trump National Doral (Miami) at 1-800-713-6725 press #3 and mention Optimist Junior Golf Championship to arrange a tee time during resort hours at 8 am - 5:30 pm Eastern time (times subject to change).
OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Optimist Tees markers will be set for official practice rounds.
- Due to the size of the fields, families are not allowed to play during these days.
Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12 --- July 17
Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14 -- July 22
Boys 16-18 and Girls 15-18 - July 27
- Greens fee cost is $TBD+ tax per player (walking) per round. Practice rounds are payable to the resort

UNOFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Tee markers will not be set for players on unofficial practice round days. Optimist Tee markers are not in correct locations because of course maintenance for incoming phase. To find out yardage and tee markers to play by, correlate the yardages for tournament with course yardage book to figure out correct yardages.
On unofficial practice rounds, courses will be available for Junior Golfers on the following days only. Families are permitted to play with participant(s) on unofficial practice round days, based upon availability.
Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12 --- Thursday, July 14 – Saturday, July 16
Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14 -- July 21 (the Blue Monster will only have limited times in the afternoon after the Parent-Child event)
Boys 16-18 and Girls 15-18 – July 26 (the Blue Monster will only have limited times in the afternoon after the Parent-Child event)
- Unofficial practice rounds may be reserved NO MORE than 14 days in advance of requested date of play.
- Greens fee cost is $TBD + tax per player (walking). Unofficial practice rounds are payable directly to the resort.
- Carts may be rented for additional $TBD + tax (valid driver’s license required).
- Unofficial practice rounds will be based upon availability, valid anytime on weekdays (Mon – Fri) and after 1pm on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
