Interactive Features

Optimist International has introduced a network of interactive features that encourage Member involvement. The organization is dedicated to making each Member's experience top quality. If you succeed, the kids win … and the kids are counting on you. For a complete list of interactive features, click here.

VoicePoint
This interactive feature provides Optimist Members with a way to share their passion with others. Optimists will call a toll-free number, listen to the instructions (in English and French) and then share one of three things:
  1. Why he/she became an Optimist;
  2. About his/her favorite project; or
  3. Why others should join
Users’ VoicePoint messages may be played online on Optimist International’s website, via e-mail or other means. Share your passion by calling (888) 778-6106. Call. Speak. Listen.

My Sidewalk
By using My Sidewalk, individuals can fill out an interest form to connect with Optimists in their area based on a ZIP/postal code match. A match will be derived even if an exact match does not exist. After the system secures a match, an e-mail will be sent to Optimist leaders in or near that community. My Sidewalk gets them to come to you. My Sidewalk makes your community more closely connected. This function is intended for website visitors who are not yet Optimists.

Five Frogs
Five frogs decide to jump off a log. How many remain on the log? Read the article titled "The Power of One: How One Man has Helped 18,487 Kids" to find out how many kids you have helped "bring out the best" in by being an active Optimist. You can find the answer to the riddle at the end of the article. This special-landing site's features enable you to view, enhance, print and share your "power of one." Have you seen the Five Frogs?
Learn. Leap. Lead.

Please check back as more features continue to be introduced.
