Making headlines in The Optimist
Share your innovative Club service project and fundraising ideas with other Optimists through The Optimist magazine. Getting published is a great way to give your Club a pat on the back while providing other Optimists an idea about how to better serve their community.
What The Optimist is looking for:
Successful and unique Club service projects and fundraisers that have made a difference in your community.
How to submit an article:
All submissions should include the traditional important news information: who, what, where, when, why and how. Always include the name, phone number and e-mail address of an individual the magazine can contact for more information.
Photography:
Please submit digital photos in a high-resolution format. All digital photos must be at least 300 dpi to appear in print. You may e-mail digital images as attachments to the e-mail address below or send a CD to the mailing address below. Please do not print out digital images. Digital should remain digital. The Optimist also accepts 35mm photography by mail.
Please be patient:
With almost 2,900 Clubs around the globe, The Optimist receives excellent submissions that do not make the magazine all the time. Please don't be discouraged if your submission is not published right away. Keep sending!
