For the third year in a row, Nerinx Hall was recognized by Apple Computer as an Apple Distinguished School for leadership in creating a 21st century learning environment. Apple cites our use of technology to enhance learning and critical thinking skills, as well as our willingness to share our experiences with other educators.
Four Nerinx seniors have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists...Meaghan Brennan, Julie Clanahan, Sarah Davies and Laura Steenberge. Two Nerinx seniors have been recognized as Commended Scholars...Colleen Quigley and Jenny Starrs. Two seniors have been recognized as Outstanding Participants in the National Achievement Scholarship Program...Kaylyn Moore and Sky Styers.
Nerinx social studies teacher, Karen Johnson-Budd, was selected as a Teacher of Distinction by the Independent Schools of St. Louis (ISSL) and received an Emerson Teacher Award. In her application, Johnson-Budd proposed to organize a Japanese Festival, which was recently celebrated at Nerinx Hall.
