Welcome to the Weekly Update

Each week during your year of leadership, a copy of the "Weekly Update" will be sent to your e-mail box. This message is designed to keep you up to date with information and news that you can use during your year in office.

Other e-mails will be sent out about important information, updates about what is happening throughout Optimist International and links to publications such as the Leadership Hotline and JOOI's Torch.

Make sure to check your e-mail box regularly to stay informed. If you wish to have your Optimist e-mail forwarded, just go to "Account Options," select "Forwarding" and enter your preferred e-mail address and click "Save."

E-mail box assistance

The Optimist e-mail addresses have changed in an effort to mitigate spam.

If you are a Club officer, your e-mail address is now:

club[club number].year@optimistmail.org
ex. Club12345.2012@optimistmail.org

If you are a Lieutenant Governor, your e-mail is now:

LT[district][zone].year@optimistmail.org
ex. LT0203.2012@optimist.org

If you are a District Secretary, your e-mail is now:

DS[district].year@optimistmail.org
ex. DS02.2012@optimistmail.org

If you are a District Treasurer, your e-mail is now:

DT[district].year@optimistmail.org
ex. DT02.2012@optimistmail.org

If you are a District Governor, your e-mail is now:

GOV[district].year@optimistmail.org
ex. Gov02.2012@optimistmail.org

If you are an International officer, including Vice Presidents, Board Members and Committee Members, your e-mail address is:

firstname.lastname@optimistmail.org

Default E-mail Password

The default password for the 2011-2012 year is 100%.

If you wish to change your e-mail password, which is recommended, just go to "Account Options" and then "Change Password." You will need to enter the old password once and your new password twice and then click "Save."

Lose your password?

There is now a password recovery function on the logon page on optimistleaders.org Members can enter their personal e-mail adddress and request a password for the Optimist leaders website and Optimistmail.

As long as your personal e-mail address is registered with Optimist International, a password e-mail can be sent to you.

Use the Optimist websites

Being Club President or a District leader can be a challenging position. Assistance can be found on the Optimist International website at www.Optimist.org If you are unfamiliar with the website, please take a few minutes to review all the information available there.

Leadership information can also be found at www.Optimistleaders.org Optimist Leaders is the place to find reports and statistics at the Club, Zone and District levels. There are password-protected areas of the website that you can access using your officer logon information.
